There is always more room on the Internet for quality blogs on an endless array of topics, don't let the amount of web pages out there dis-hearten you. If you have something to say and can convey your message in a concise manner then the blogging world is your oyster.
Just remember that there is no point copying and pasting someone else's content. It's been tried by many over the years and you will have zero traffic as high Google rankings depend on quality original information that is relevant. At best the account associated with cut and copy content will be ignored by the search engines, at worst the account will be deleted.
If you don't want a generic blogspot address, you can always purchase a domain for around $12 per year and easily add it to your account so people only have to enter the domain of your choosing rather than example.blogspot.com.au
Customising the look and feel of your new site is a breeze with Google Blogger. You can change your header image or add a logo. Change the background or change the theme to your liking.
